Mewsons are partnered with a Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancy who are seeking a Senior or Associate level-chartered engineer to help this company meet a growing project portfolio.

The opportunity:
• Refine and evolve the practice of civil engineering as an associate or senior chartered civil engineer.
• This company are looking for a visionary leader, one who is poised to steer a dynamic team of civil engineers, guiding them through projects that vary widely in scale but consistently echo their commitment to considered engineering solutions and sustainability.

Key responsibilities:
• Strategic leadership: Collaborate closely with directors and associates, anchoring the delivery of a diverse range of projects.
• Team management: Mentor, coach, and manage a dedicated hub comprising 3-5 civil engineers of varied experience. Cultivate a culture of growth, collaboration, and excellence.
• Technical delivery: Ensure impeccable project delivery, leaning on the expertise of your hub and the wider team.
• Financial performance: Take charge of the financial aspects of projects, ensuring they meet the gold standard of efficiency and profitability.
• Business growth: Cultivate client relationships, ensuring repeat business and exploring avenues for future projects.
• Technical leadership: Act as the guiding star for your civil engineering colleagues and the broader team.
Technical skill set:
• Software savvy: Mastery in Civils 3D, integrating drainage modelling software, vertical and horizontal vehicle tracking.
• Drainage networks: Expertise in modelling complex drainage networks using InfoDrainage and MicroDrainage, emphasising SuDS.
• Regulatory knowledge: A robust understanding of National and Local Planning Policy, and expertise in drafting Flood Risk Assessments and Strategic Drainage reports.
• Design acumen: Knowledge and application of current UK design standards and an active role in drainage and highway sectional works with relevant authorities.
• External works design: Expertise in designing paved and asphalt surfaces, earthwork specifications, and industrial concrete slabs.

Previous experience:
• Project leadership: Proven experience leading civil engineering projects across diverse sectors.
• Client relationship: A track record of cultivating and sustaining fruitful client relationships.
